Expert Advice: US Government reports attacks on Critical Infrastructure OT Systems
Why you should be concerned!
- IT/OT
- Tenable OT Security
Recommended immediate actions for reducing your cyber exposure across OT and converged IT/OT environments.
On the heels of MITRE updating its framework for Adversarial Tactics, Techniques, and Common Knowledge (ATT&CKⓇ) to include ICS and OT Systems, several branches of the US Government have issued an urgent Cybersecurity Advisory, AA20-205A. This missive recommends that operators of critical infrastructure take immediate actions to reduce exposure across their operational technologies and control systems.
This alert on malicious activity targeting operational technology (OT) and critical infrastructure should be taken very seriously. This isn’t a warning about the possibility of attacks - the attacks are very real and are accelerating as you read this.
We encourage you to read Notice AA20-205A and review what it means to your industrial cyber security practice.
Topics covered will include:
- Addressing the six recommended mitigation techniques proposed in AA20-205A
- What you need to know about the Mitre ATT&CK for ICS/OT and the evolving threat landscape
- Effective approaches for strengthening OT security
Who should attend:
All IT and OT professionals interested in strengthening OT security for critical infrastructure and industrial operations are encouraged to attend.
