Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the remote Junos device is affected by a vulnerability in the 'bgp-error-tolerance' feature that when enabled, a BGP UPDATE containing a specifically crafted set of transitive attributes can cause the RPD routing process to crash and restart.

Solution

Apply the relevant Junos software release or workarounds referenced in Juniper advisory JSA10820.
